Right-of-Way Mapping Technician

Department: Survey/Geomatics

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Jacksonville, FL

DRMP is seeking a Right-of-Way Mapping Technician/Specialist to assist Professional Surveyor and Mapper in application of principles, methods, and techniques of Surveying. Minimum 3 years of experience in Surveying/Right of Way mapping production.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include

· Basic calculations for field crews.· Review and verify accuracy of bench runs.· Review and verify accuracy of field traverse.· Review and compare crew field book information to final maps.· Prepare sketch and descriptions from field collected data.· Perform processing utilizing GPS processing software.· Prepare Right-of-way Control Maps.· Prepare Right-of-way Maps.· Complete project logs and time sheets daily.· Research for projects online or at local and or state agencies.· Utilize Standards of Practice and/or FDOT checklist for product preparation.· Analyze deeds and research materials for production of survey and mapping products.· Assist in Quality Control of field-collected data for submittals. · Assist with survey estimates, surveyor’s reports, and meeting minutes.· Produce survey exhibits to support man-hour estimates.

What you'll need

· Proficient in OpenRoads Designer, Geopak, MicroStation SS10 and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D· Current knowledge of latest technology related to UAVs, Mobile and Terrestrial LiDAR a plus· General knowledge of FDOT surveying/mapping procedures a plus· Ability to work independently· High school diploma or field related work experience and/or Certification in related field acceptable
