Job Description

  • Responsible for all rigging works during mobilization of barges/ vessels/cargo barges and during offshore campaigns
  • Demonstrate work methods and perform critical tasks that his subordinate craftsmen/workers do not have the skill or experience to perform. Makes sketches for instructional purposes.
  • Set-up and prepare rigging gear and arrange for selection of appropriate rigging gear
  • Shall be fully familiar with all rigging terminologies used in offshore industry.
  • shall check all rigging items for suitability prior to use and ensure all of them are certified.
  • Prior to any lifting, read and understand lifting drawings and lifting operations plans (LOP) and safely execute it.
  • prior to any lift visualise the complete process to ensure no interference or obstruction to safe lifting/transfer/installation and communicate any hinderance to the supervisors and team
  • Ensure all rigging items and tools are maintained in a safe and effective manner
  • Responsible for maintaining safety of site and site housekeeping for both his crew and others needing access to it
  • Shall be able to rigging solutions at site as and when required.
  • Compliance in accordance with section/Company policies & procedures, Policy of Integrity & Code of Conduct & HSE standards
