Job Description

We are seeking experienced Riggers / Millwrights to support an industrial shutdown project in New Caney, TX Candidates will assist with equipment rigging, dismantling, installation, alignment, and maintenance of industrial machinery while following all site safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Rig, move, position, and install heavy industrial equipment and machinery.
• Assist with equipment dismantling, removal, installation, and alignment.
• Inspect and properly use slings, shackles, chains, hoists, and other rigging equipment.
• Assist with millwright maintenance, mechanical repairs, and equipment installation.
• Read basic drawings, equipment layouts, and rigging plans.
• Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Assist with equipment alignment, leveling, and positioning.
• Communicate with crane operators, supervisors, millwrights, and other craft personnel.
• Follow all site-specific safety procedures, PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work extended hours, weekends, and varying shifts as required during the shutdown.

Qualifications

• Previous rigging and/or millwright experience required.
• Industrial shutdown, refinery, petrochemical, or heavy industrial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of proper rigging techniques and load-handling procedures.
• Ability to safely inspect and use rigging equipment.
• Ability to work from drawings, instructions, and supervisor direction.
• Strong understanding of industrial safety practices.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work and work at heights when required.
• Must be dependable and able to work in a fast-paced shutdown environment.
• OSHA or site-specific safety training is a plus.
