POSITION: Rigger
DIVISION: Technical
REPORTS TO: Field Force Manager

What you’ll be doing:
• Conduct acceptance tests on the installation of equipment on all towers and structures
• Ensure that installations are done in accordance with Engineering specifications and agreed standards
• Assist the Network Operations and Network Development groups to ensure the effective maintenance of
all structure installations, contributing to the network availability standards
• Assist with troubleshooting RF, TX, ICT and any other network related tasks to ensure the highest levels of
availability

Your main duties and responsibilities:
• Conduct acceptance tests for grounding, antenna alignment and antenna installation according to
specifications and standards
• Install and de-install outdoor units and change antenna
• Change feeder cables and assist in the realignment of microwave dishes.
• Correct tower light problems
• Install filters to prevent interference
• Perform antenna optimization (tilting and re-orientation) as required
• Assist the RF, TX, ICT and other disciplines within the technical team with troubleshooting site issues and
outages
• Assist with refuelling or accompany the teams with any site related occurrence to ensure network
availability

What you’ll need to succeed in this job

Qualifications:
• Certification and training in tower climbing and rigging
• At least 3 years’ experience in climbing towers; experience in Cellular Tower Communication would be an
asset
• Proficient in reading and interpreting tower installation drawings

Functional Skills:
• Ability to climb structures with heights of 130m
• Understanding of the telecommunication business
• Able to work in a team and in a challenging environment
• Flexible and willing to accept and adapt to constant changes
• Good interpersonal skills
