Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Oil and Gas Rig Mechanic to join our team in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rig maintenance and repair, with a focus on safety and efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of all rig equipment and machinery, as well as performing regular maintenance and repairs as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on rig equipment and machinery, including but not limited to engines, pumps, generators, and drilling equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, and develop effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all rig equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and hours worked.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.
- Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving measures.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in rig technology to continuously improve your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an oil and gas rig mechanic.
- Extensive knowledge of rig equipment and machinery, including engines, pumps, generators, and drilling equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work on a rotational schedule, including nights and weekends, as needed.
- Valid UAE driving license is preferred.
