Part-time Rides Mechanic – Tom Foolery’s

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a part-time Rides Mechanic for our Tom Foolery’s Adventure Park. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing of rides and attractions, perform daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual inspections, testing, verification and/or calibration of applicable control systems.

As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll ensure the safety and reliability of attractions, giving guests peace of mind and enhancing their enjoyment. Your behind-the-scenes work also supports associates by minimizing ride downtime and creating a smoother, more positive work environment.

Pay rate: $18/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all rides are inspected daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the ride manufacturer’s preventative maintenance programs.
• Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, and county and municipal regulations that pertain to rides safety, inspections, and yearly inspections with all authorities.
• Ensure all plumbing and mechanical services are in good working order.

What We’re Looking For

• 1 year of progressive experience in a theme park, or related field.
• Knowledge of ride maintenance schedules, repairs, rides, games, and daily operations for an adventure park.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
