Our Mountain Coaster Experts will be in-charge of all things Rail Runner and Hellbender. These experts will make sure guests are safe while loading, riding, and unloading our two, one-of-a-kind mountain coasters. Our coaster experts will also help build our guests' excitement to travel down our mountainside with the most unique coasters in Gatlinburg.
What exactly makes these coasters so cool?
Anakeesta’s Rail Runner is the first of its kind in the United States! Fly down the mountain with 1,600 feet of downhill twists and turns at speeds up to 25 mph! Race through the trees at your own speed with a 400 ft elevation change! This exhilarating ride offers a thrill at every turn before enjoying a scenic uphill ride to the top of Anakeesta Mountain.
Guests seeking even more thrills can hop on Anakeesta’s all-new, heart pounding, double-rail mountain coaster. Hellbender, named after the salamander species native to the Smoky Mountains, offers guests an adrenaline-pumping ride as they navigate a steep mountain incline, slither through twists and turns, and take in breathtaking scenic views of the Smokies.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for guest safety loading and unloading from the coaster.
- Greet and engage every guest, every time.
- Identifying invalid scans and properly reporting them.
- Assists in daily setup and routine maintenance of ride areas.
- Assists all guests in loading, riding, and unloading of the rides
- Monitor the operation of the rides continually and notify the appropriate personnel of any problems or unusual conditions.
- Complete all required paperwork legibly and in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Comfortable working with moving mechanical parts
- Professional, friendly, and positive attitude
- Serious-minded when it comes to safety.
- Able to stand for the entire day.
- Enjoy working outdoor in all weather conditions including but not limited to snow, extreme cold and heat, and wind.
- Available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift 30 lbs.; can push, pull, grasp, lift, kneel, stoop, climb, balance, crouch, crawl and stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
