Consultant Physician – Rheumatologist

Our Edmonton-based specialist clinic is seeking a highly skilled Rheumatologist to join a growing multidisciplinary team. This role is integral to our clinic's commitment to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care for patients with rheumatic and autoimmune diseases.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical care as a Rheumatologist, ensuring timely assessment, diagnosis, and management of inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, vasculitis, osteoporosis, and other musculoskeletal and autoimmune conditions
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including the initiation and monitoring of disease-modifying therapies and biologic medications where appropriate
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
- Participate in case discussions, referrals, and inter-specialty consultations as required
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and uphold professional standards of practice
- Maintain accurate patient records and comply with all applicable regulatory, professional, and ethical standards
Qualifications
- Medical degree and completion of specialty training in Rheumatology
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta
- Fellowship certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) or equivalent specialist qualifications
- Strong clinical judgment, interpersonal skills, and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a collaborative multidisciplinary practice
Position Details
- Full-time Rheumatologist position, typically 4 to 5 clinic days per week
