Project Overview

Digital Health, a Shared Health service, facilitates the improvement and enablement of healthcare delivery transformation through the use of information and communication technology. The focus is to provide efficient, effective information management and communication technology processes across the provincial healthcare sector.

The Change Management Specialist will lead organizational change management (OCM) activities supporting large-scale digital health transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing change management strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, communication programs, organizational readiness assessments, and training initiatives to ensure successful adoption of technology and workflow changes across healthcare organizations.

Work Location

  • Services will be performed remotely within Canada.
  • Services must not be performed remotely from outside of Canada.

Resource Requirements

  • One (1) Full-Time Individual Resource.

Mandatory Qualifications

Required Certification

  • Valid Prosci ADKAR Change Management Certification.
  • Proof of certification must be provided.

Preferred Qualifications

Project Management Certification

  • PRINCE2 Foundation or Practitioner Certification.
  • Experience working within structured project delivery environments is considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities

Organizational Change Management Leadership

  • Lead the development and execution of organizational change management strategies and plans for digital health and technology transformation initiatives.
  • Conduct organizational readiness assessments to evaluate stakeholder preparedness and identify adoption risks.
  • Perform stakeholder analyses to identify impacted groups, assess change impacts, and develop engagement strategies.
  • Identify change-related risks and develop mitigation plans to support successful project outcomes.
  • Develop change adoption metrics and monitor organizational readiness throughout project lifecycles.
  • Provide strategic guidance to project teams on change management best practices and methodologies.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communications

  • Partner with executive sponsors, senior leaders, clinical leaders, and operational stakeholders to support change initiatives.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies and communication plans tailored to diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Provide communication coaching and advisory services to senior leadership and project sponsors.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops, engagement sessions, focus groups, and change impact assessments.
  • Support executive-level messaging and organizational alignment activities.

Clinical Transformation Support

  • Support organizational change activities associated with implementing standardized clinical plans across multiple healthcare organizations.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to assess workflow impacts and adoption requirements.
  • Develop strategies to support consistent implementation and adoption of clinical processes across healthcare environments.
  • Facilitate transition planning and operational readiness activities.

Training and Learning Development

  • Lead the development of training strategies, learning curricula, and educational materials supporting workflow and process changes.
  • Design and develop instructor-led, virtual, and self-directed learning materials.
  • Coordinate training delivery and evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Support knowledge transfer activities and end-user readiness programs.
  • Ensure training materials meet the needs of large and diverse stakeholder groups.

Altera Sunrise Change Management Support

  • Provide organizational change management support for implementations and enhancements of the Altera Sunrise suite of products.
  • Assess clinical workflow impacts associated with Sunrise deployments and upgrades.
  • Support stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and adoption activities related to clinical system implementations.
  • Collaborate with clinical, technical, and operational teams to facilitate successful system adoption.

Reporting and Governance

  • Prepare and maintain change management documentation, reports, and project deliverables.
  • Provide regular status updates on organizational readiness, stakeholder engagement, training progress, and adoption outcomes.
  • Participate in project governance meetings and contribute to project planning and risk management activities.
  • Maintain documentation related to change management activities and project decisions.

Required Skills and Experience

Organizational Change Management

  • Minimum 10 years of experience leading organizational change management activities supporting information technology implementations.
  • Demonstrated experience with:
    • Organizational readiness assessments
    • Stakeholder analysis
    • Change impact assessments
    • Risk identification and mitigation
    • Development and execution of change management plans
    • Technology adoption strategies
  • Experience supporting healthcare-related initiatives is required.

Executive Communications and Leadership Support

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with senior leadership to:
    • Develop communication strategies
    • Deliver executive communications
    • Provide communication coaching
    • Support sponsor engagement and leadership alignment

Healthcare Transformation Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience providing organizational change management support during the implementation of standardized clinical plans across multiple healthcare organizations.
  • Experience working within complex healthcare delivery environments.

Training Development and Learning Programs

  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading the development of training materials and learning curricula supporting workflow and process changes.
  • Experience designing and delivering training programs within large, complex organizations.
  • Experience developing training materials for organizations with more than 1,000 employees is highly desirable.

Altera Sunrise Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience providing organizational change management support for implementations of the Altera Sunrise suite of products in clinical environments.
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows, user adoption strategies, and healthcare technology implementations.
