Position Summary

This position is responsible for developing and implementing integrated programs that support sales growth, market segment growth and other strategic initiatives. This position will also lead the coordination, completion and delivery of Request for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs) and other documents that support sales efforts.

This position will work closely with Sales, Marketing and the Business Units to provide materials that are high-quality, timely, accurate, and effective in winning business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops and delivers short- or long-range sales promotions/programs to drive increased sales results.
  • Partners with Marketing on development of integrated sales programs and communication strategies to support Sales.
  • Establishes promotional metrics and recommends changes to plans and goals based on results.
  • Maintains compliance with promotional and program requirements, challenging exceptions and addressing gaps when requirements are not met.
  • Assists the Sr. Sales Training Manager in establishing, tracking, and managing sales program budgets to ensure expenses align with program goals and organizational objectives.
  • Collaborates with Sales Business Analysts, Accounting, and Marketing to establish reporting requirements and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness of BI and SAC reporting outputs.
  • Presents sales program results during monthly and quarterly sales and stakeholder meetings, driving visibility, engagement and support for program objectives.
  • Manages the administration and payout process for sales promotions through AwardCo and serves as the designated backup AwardCo Administrator for Human Resources.
  • Facilitates RFP/RFI process to ensure requests are completed on time and in a quality manner. Engages stakeholders, subject matter experts, Marketing, IP and other business units as necessary to keep the process on track.
  • Analyzes/interprets RFPs or RFIs to develop an understanding of the customer's/client's needs. Works with various stakeholders to develop comprehensive and strategic recommendations for responses.
  • Manages eProcurement platforms, (e.g., Ariba) to facilitate correspondence and the submission of materials related to RFPs and RFIs.
  • Works with subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop effective response narratives and collateral materials and ensure the content is complete, accurate, speaks to what is being asked and is strategically on message. Drafts original content and provides substantive edits based on customer's style and brand guidelines.
  • Reviews final RFPs or RFIs for accuracy and appropriate approvals before releasing them internally or externally.
  • Tracks proposal activity in RFP software to include proposal details, status, final disposition, etc. Prepares reports and tracks proposal activity to include progress, delays, deadlines and sales conversion rates (win/loss). Identifies trends and provides feedback to business units.
  • Monitors and adheres to company documentation and retention standards including, but not limited to, content review and update process, intellectual property standards, non-disclosure agreements, etc.
  • Administers the proposal software and security access.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business related field desired.
  • 2+ years of experience in proposal writing, marketing, or sales.
  • Experience responding to RFP's/RFI's desirable.
  • Experience planning or managing sales promotions desirable.
  • Experience with eProcurement sites (i.e. Ariba) desirable.

Other Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proficient in the use of a PC and MS Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of JJKA products and services desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong organization, planning & execution skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to work under pressure with competing and multiple priorities and deadlines.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Occasional travel to offsite offices, customer sites and/or industry and training events may also be required, depending on assignment.

J. J. Keller provides a competitive benefit package which includes the following (eligibility requirements apply): Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) and Profit Sharing Plan, etc. The compensation range for this role is $26.40 to $29.70 which varies depending on factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s overall experience and geographic location. Note that J. J. Keller is not currently recruiting employees to work in California.
