Primary Location

NSW - ChatswoodEME Engineer (Fixed Term – 12 Months)

The EME Engineer is responsible for supporting the delivery of electromagnetic energy (EME) compliance assessments and related engineering activities across telecommunications projects. The role involves undertaking RF exposure assessments, preparing/reviewing compliance documentations (Form AB, F01/F02, PRD, EME Guide etc), supporting customer deliverables, and ensuring all work aligns with applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards.

About the Role

Purpose of the Role

To provide engineering support for the assessment, analysis, and reporting of RF EME compliance for telecommunications infrastructure projects. The role contributes to the timely delivery of customer projects while ensuring compliance with relevant Australian regulatory requirements and industry standards.

EME Assessments & Compliance

  • Perform EME desktop assessments for telecommunications facilities.
  • Prepare and review EME reports, RFNSA STADs, and related compliance documentation.
  • Conduct RF exposure calculations using approved engineering tools and methodologies.
  • Support compliance activities in accordance with:
    • ARPANSA RPS S-1
    • RFSP Manual
    • Carrier-specific requirements and procedures.

Project Delivery Support

  • Support the delivery of EME services across wireless network projects.
  • Assist project teams in identifying and managing EME compliance risks.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, customers, and subcontractors as required.
  • Ensure deliverables are completed within agreed project timeframes.

Data & Documentation Management

  • Maintain accurate engineering records and project documentation.
  • Review source documentation, antenna configurations, and design information.
  • Ensure engineering calculations and reports meet quality requirements.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support process improvement initiatives within the EME team.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of engineering templates, tools, and workflows.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and team development activities.
