Job Description

Level Entry Job Location Geospace Technologies - Houston, TX 77040 Position Type Full Time Education Level High School Job Shift Day

This position will inspect, repair, and modify manufactured products that do not meet quality standards as set forth by the company prior to shipment to customer.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials and outgoing products.
  • Reject all incoming products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
  • Performing assigned product manufacturing and assembly tasks.
  • Conduct quality checks on the functionality of parts and components.
  • Adding “finishing touches” to the appearance of components. (Honing, sanding, refining edges, etc.)
  • Optimizing production efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings as needed.
  • Performing minor repairs and reporting breakdowns in a timely manner.
  • Keeping equipment maintenance logs, as well as maintaining a safe and tidy work environment.
  • Ensure that items are undamaged prior to moving them to the Final Test stage.
  • Collaborate with other departments to complete production orders on time.
  • Prep, pack, and label items prior to shipping.
  • Comply with internal policies and industry regulations.
  • Perform other work-related tasks.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of six months’ experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Must be able to communicate in English, to give and receive written and verbal instructions.

Education/Experience requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Basic Computer Skills, needed for data logging and tracking production.

Physical Requirements:

  • Operators need to be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Perform repetitive tasks and stand for long periods of time.
