POSITION OVERVIEW

The Rewinder sets up and operates the rewinder machine to perform respooling and confirm quality of product that other departments produce.
Primary Responsibilities

� Rolls reel to jack from staging area and place in jack

� Strings wire through rewinder machine. Operates machine to control speed of reel

� Guides wire onto new reel to ensure correct placement. Maintains accurate inspection logs and reel labels

� Monitors processes & controls to assure quality

� Places completed reel in designated location

� Uses and reads micrometers to measure wire. Completes paperwork, record and enter data

� Communicates with supervisors & associates

Education Requirements

� High school diploma or GED equivalent

Minimum Experience Required

� Entry level

License(s) and/or Certification(s) Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

� Ability to follow plant work rules, work instructions, safety rules and established processes, procedures & practices

� Maintains cleanliness of area

� Ability to use of tools including wire cutters, pliers, wrenches, hammer, micrometers, and computer

� Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions

� Computer literate
