Why does this job exist and why is it critical?​

We are looking for an intern who is passionate about technology, artificial intelligence, and data analytics to support HR digitalisation and automation initiatives. This role offers hands-on exposure to AI-driven solutions, machine learning, HR systems, and data analytics while working closely with IT, HRIT, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and testing of OCR, data extraction, and Generative AI solutions to automate HR processes such as leave applications, expense claims, and supporting document processing.

  • Assist in developing machine learning models to identify unusual expense patterns and flag potential errors, fraud, or policy violations.

  • Support the development of LLM-powered workflows for the classification and routing of leave applications and expense claims.

  • Assist in configuring business rules within Workday to validate and reconcile workforce data and ensure compliance with company policies.

  • Support the development of predictive analytics models using historical HR data to identify workforce trends and employee turnover risks.

  • Assist in designing and developing AI-powered chatbots to provide employees with self-service support on HR-related matters such as leave, benefits, and payroll.

  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test scenario preparation, execution, defect tracking, and documentation.

  • Work closely with the HRIT team on system configuration, data validation and migration, deployment, and post-implementation support.

  • Develop dashboards, data visualisations, and reports to monitor HR and organisational performance and provide actionable insights.

  • Collaborate with IT, HRIT, and other stakeholders on technology and operational initiatives based on business requirements.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.

  • Basic understanding of AI, machine learning, data analytics, or Generative AI concepts.

  • Familiarity with programming or data analysis tools such as Python, SQL, Power BI, or similar tools would be an advantage.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in applying technology to real-world business challenges.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate with different stakeholders.

  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.

The internship experience may include exposure to the above projects and responsibilities. The scope is not exhaustive and may be adjusted based on business priorities, organisational needs, and project requirements.

Internship Duration

Starting September onwards, preferably 6 months or longer
