Role Synopsys:
This role sits within bp’s PC&C Reward Operations & Analytics (O&A) team, providing operational and analytical support to the Global Benefits Team and broader Reward function. The role is developed to support multiple reward capability areas, with insurance and benefits being a key, but not exclusive, area of expertise
As a benefits specialist, you will implement complex global benefits activities, ensure high data quality, and support governance, analytics and cost management across benefits programmes. You will work closely with the Global Benefits Team, regional reward teams, finance, actuaries, brokers and external partners to deliver , compliant and insight‑led reward outcomes.
What you will deliver
Global benefits and reward operations support
Act as a key operational and analytical support partner to the Global Benefits Team, enabling effective delivery of global benefits programmes.
Provide support across multiple reward activities, contributing benefits and insurance expertise alongside broader reward operations knowledge.
Ensure consistent application of global standards, controls and operating procedures across supported reward processes.
Total rewards review (TRR) execution
Implement end‑to‑end Total Rewards Review (TRR) activities across benefits and related reward components, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant submissions.
Coordinate data inputs from global and regional partners, performing validation, analysis and issue resolution.
Identify trends, risks and data anomalies and surface insights to the Global Benefits Team and Reward COEs.
Insurance and captive management
Provide operational and analytical support for insurance and benefits programmes, including those placed through bp’s captive insurance structures
Coordinate experience data, renewals support, premium allocations and reporting in partnership with captive teams.
Ensure insurance‑related activities meet governance, audit and documentation standards.
Global policy and guidelines support
Support the implementation and operational governance of global benefits and reward policies, standards and guidelines.
Act as a subject‑matter support point for operational interpretation of global requirements, raising exceptions where needed.
Maintain supporting documentation, controls and operational mentorship in line with Reward O&A expectations.
India benefits and reward operations expertise
Serve as the India benefits and rewards operations authority
Support India‑specific benefits and insurance programmes while enabling alignment to global policy and operating models.
Provide market, regulatory and operational insights to the CoE to support decision‑making.
Cost, funding and analytics
Handle and coordinate Cost Assumption Activities across benefits and related reward components for multiple regions.
Support calculation, validation and ongoing maintenance of burden rates linked to benefits and reward programmes.
Partner with finance and reward teams to ensure assumptions are robust, clearly detailed and audit‑ready.
Produce insightful analysis to support forecasting, planning and financial decisions
Proactive stakeholder management
Build and maintain effective working relationships with the Global Benefits Team, Reward COEs, and other partners.
Proactively handle partner expectations by providing updates, timelines, insights and identification of risks or dependencies.
Act as a trusted operational partner, anticipating information needs and resolving queries across benefits and broader reward operations.
Contribution to ad‑hoc benefits and reward projects
Actively contribute to ad‑hoc benefits‑related and reward transformation projects, providing analytical, operational and subject‑matter support as the need arises.
Balance project contributions alongside BAU delivery, flexing capacity as needed to meet changing business priorities
Essential experience and job requirements
Strong experience supporting global benefits and/or reward operations within a multinational organisation.
Proven experience across insurance and benefits, with exposure to captive insurance considered a strong advantage.
Strong knowledge of India benefits and reward operations, including regulatory and market context.
Experience running cost assumptions, analytics and burden rate calculations across regions.
High attention to detail, strong analytical capability and confidence working with complex datasets.
Ability to operate independently in a global, matrixed, service‑delivery environment
Desirable experience
Experience working within a GCC/GIC or shared services model
Exposure to non‑benefits reward components (e.g. allowances, incentives support, reward data governance).
Experience supporting TRRs, audit, compliance or control activities
Travel Requirement
Negligible travel should be expected with this role
