The Revit Draftsman plays a key role in applying building science and technology across company projects. This position requires strong technical expertise, the ability to work within a structured design process, and a commitment to developing innovative design solutions. You will collaborate closely with the design team throughout all project phasesbefore, during, and after completion.

Review client and user requirements to finalize project briefs.
Understand the importance of the design stage and its impact on the project.
Assist in evaluating environmental, regulatory, and legal requirements for initial approvals.
Participate in feasibility studies and design team discussions.
Conduct surveys and prepare scoping documents.
Contribute to project briefs and design schedules.
Prepare and submit documentation required for statutory approvals.
Prepare and present design proposals using both CAD and traditional methods.
Collaborate with team members to develop detailed designs and coordinate design information.
Research and develop innovative solutions, templates, and process optimizations.
Specify materials and design details based on performance and production criteria.
Produce, manage, and integrate design and production information.
Liaise with authorities to ensure compliance and secure approvals.
Ensure compliance with design, statutory, and professional standards.
Participate in project scheduling and stage inspections.
Obtain client feedback and support post-project evaluations.
Assist in developing maintenance management systems.
Evaluate refurbishment, reuse, and deconstruction requirements.
Prepare CAD/Revit files including plans, sections, and details per company standards (CAD/Revit manuals, BS1192, PAS 1192-2).
Develop skills in CAD/BIM software, including 3D visualization.
Maintain organized filing of CAD/Revit documents.
Issue drawings as required by Building Surveyors or Project Managers.
Work independently in a multi-discipline environment and manage a dynamic workload.
Maintain and expand CAD/Revit libraries (blocks, families, standard details, etc.).
Support updates to CAD/BIM quality control and standards.
Participate in user group meetings to discuss improvements and troubleshooting.
Report daily to the Line Manager regarding work progress and resource availability.
Support workload management within the CAD team.
Assist in quality-checking design documents.
Work effectively within deadlines and project fee structures.
Minimum 5 years of experience in AutoCAD/Revit, including advanced training on current Autodesk software.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, MS Project, and NBS specification tools.
Proficiency in CAD/Revit draftingincluding 3D modeling, layering, dimensioning, viewports, and scaling.
Good understanding of BIM tools, including family creation, parameter manipulation, and schedules.
Ability to update models to reflect as-built conditions.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Strong collaboration and communication abilities.
Knowledge of templates, BOQs, material schedules, and complex geometry modeling is an advantage.
Experience in reverse engineering projects is a plus.
Bachelors degree or diploma in CAD, drafting, or related fields (preferred).
Certification or advanced training in Autodesk AutoCAD/Revit.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder relationship skills.
Good English communication skills.
Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic work environment.
Commercial awareness and professional responsibility.
May require local or international travel.
Must be willing to perform additional duties as required.
