Job Description

Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.

Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!

Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.

Where and how you can work

Sydney

Our flagship Sydney campus is uniquely Canva - an extension of our Surry Hills neighbourhood. It’s a thoughtfully designed space with plenty of room to collaborate, focus, and connect.

This role is based in Sydney, and we’re looking for someone who calls it home. Our hybrid way of working gives you the flexibility to work remotely, and to come together on campus for meaningful in-person collaboration and connection when it matters most. We trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you a flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Owning review operations across your area, designing workflows, improving processes and building practical frameworks that can scale as new AI-assisted review capabilities come online
  • Driving cross-functional projects from problem to delivery, partnering with Engineering, Machine Learning, Policy and other teams to create clarity, resolve blockers and keep work moving
  • Building reviewer training and enablement, including onboarding, documentation and support for new AI-assisted review tools and workflows
  • Strengthening governance and operational standards, maintaining clear documentation, managing exceptions and identifying risks before they become bigger problems
  • Turning performance and quality data into action, maintaining reporting and dashboards while translating trends into clear recommendations for the team
  • Identifying opportunities for AI and automation, reducing unnecessary manual work and helping the team adopt better tools and more scalable ways of working

You're probably a match if

  • You enjoy turning complex operational problems into clear, practical ways of working
  • You’re comfortable creating structure in ambiguous environments and can independently move work forward
  • You care deeply about quality and understand the impact operational decisions can have at scale
  • You’re confident working with dashboards, performance data and quality metrics to spot patterns and recommend action
  • You think in systems, identifying inefficiencies and improving workflows through better processes, AI and automation
  • You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with Engineering, Machine Learning, Data, Policy and other partners
  • You’re comfortable building and maintaining guidelines, process documentation and governance frameworks that help teams work consistently
  • You’ve worked in content, creative quality, media, trust and safety, or another quality-focused operational environment

About the team

Content Review Operations sits at the intersection of creative quality, data intelligence and systems thinking. We help ensure the millions of templates and creative assets across Canva’s content library meet the quality and safety standards our community expects. As Canva grows, so does the scale and complexity of that challenge.

AI-assisted review is becoming an increasingly important part of how we work. Our team helps shape how human judgement and machine intelligence come together, defining standards, improving workflows and building the operational foundations that help Canva review content effectively at scale.

We’re a team of systems thinkers, process builders and data-informed decision makers, and we’re looking for someone who’s excited to help evolve how review operations works at Canva.

About Canva

We're a global online visual communications platform on a mission to empower the world to design. Featuring a simple drag-and-drop user interface and a vast range of templates ranging from presentations, documents, websites, social media graphics, posters, apparel to videos, plus a huge library of fonts, stock photography, illustrations, video footage, and audio clips, anyone can take an idea and create something beautiful on Canva on any device, from anywhere in the world.

Since our launch in 2013, we’ve had the crazy big goal of making design accessible to everyone. We were founded on the belief that people shouldn't need to understand complex software to unlock their creativity. We’re leveling the playing field and democratizing access to design and visual communication by empowering 100% of the world to communicate in a way that was once limited to the 1%.

We've always had a deeper mission surrounding Canva — which we talk about as our 'simple' two-step plan: to build one of the world’s most valuable companies, and to do the most good we possibly can. We're committed to our core value of Being a Force for Good, so as the value of our company grows, so too does our ability to have a positive impact on the world.
