Job Description

About us

Dyson is a global technology enterprise. We solve the problems others choose to ignore, with surprising new inventions that defy convention and simply work better.

Our Supply Chain and Logistics teams enable this at scale—designing and operating high-performance, outsourced networks that deliver efficiency, quality and control across EMEA.

About the role

As our Reverse Logistics Manager, you will own the end-to-end strategy, governance and performance of non-sellable and refurbished inventory (Inventory 2) across EMEA.

Operating within a fully outsourced logistics model, you will define recovery pathways, refurbishment standards and decision frameworks—ensuring value recovery is maximised, write-offs are minimised, and quality is consistently high. Execution sits with external partners; accountability for outcomes sits with you.

This is a high-impact, system-level role requiring strong commercial judgement, operational rigour and cross-functional influence.

You will:

  • Own recovery processes for non-sellable inventory including returns, refurbishment, rerun and disposal
  • Define and apply decision logic based on product condition, cost, quality and regulatory requirements
  • Drive timely processing to minimise ageing, storage cost and value erosion
  • Own Inventory 2 visibility, control and ageing management across systems (SAP/WMS/RMS)
  • Lead the refurbishment pipeline—triage, grading, decisioning, rework and validation
  • Define and govern policies across grading, resale vs disposal logic and release criteria
  • Improve turnaround times to maximise resale opportunities
  • Partner with Sales and eCommerce teams to support remarketing of refurbished inventory
  • Coordinate execution across 3PLs, refurbishment partners and disposal vendors
  • Ensure disciplined inventory movement between return, refurbishment and disposal streams
  • Own quality governance—defining rework standards, defect thresholds and release controls
  • Partner with Quality and Engineering to resolve root causes and improve upstream performance
  • Track and report on recovery value, conversion rates, write-offs, ageing and cost performance
  • Identify drivers of non-sellable inventory and influence upstream improvements
  • Drive standardisation, process improvement and circularity initiatives

You will operate in a transitioning environment—supporting the maturity of outsourced partners while ensuring continuity, control and delivery.

About you

  • A structured, data-led supply chain professional with strong experience in reverse logistics and value recovery
  • Experience in returns, refurbishment, service logistics or related supply chain functions
  • Strong understanding of triage, grading, repair and recovery processes
  • Commercially aware, with focus on value recovery and cost optimisation
  • Experience working with outsourced logistics models and 3PL partners
  • Strong systems capability (SAP, WMS or similar)
  • Analytical mindset, able to interpret data and drive performance improvements
  • Confident working cross-functionally across Logistics, Quality, Sales and Finance
  • High attention to detail, with strong organisational discipline
  • Continuous improvement mindset; Lean experience advantageous
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • You bring structure to complexity, drive clarity in decision-making, and focus on delivering measurable outcomes.

Since inventing the first cyclonic bagless vacuum cleaner, the DC01, Dyson has consistently invested in research and development to improve its products and technologies radically. Dyson offers products across a growing range of areas: floorcare, air purification, robotics, haircare including formulations, lighting, hand drying, and most recently audio. Dyson continues to expand into new areas.

Today, Dyson sells products in more than 80 markets, has 450 Dyson stores worldwide and is available in all major technology and beauty retailers.
