About the Role
We're seeking a commercially minded Revenue & Systems Accountant to join our client billing hub team at our Penrose office in Auckland.
You'll sit at the intersection of Finance, Operations and Commercial teams, taking ownership of revenue integrity, billing governance, systems optimisation and reporting.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the business captures revenue accurately, protects margin and leverages technology to improve efficiency. This role will help drive the integration of billing processes across the business, creating stronger governance, streamlined workflows and improved financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure accurate and timely invoicing in line with contractual and business requirements
Identify billing discrepancies, revenue leakage and process inefficiencies
Support revenue assurance across labour, subcontractor, materials and recoverable cost streams
Prepare revenue, billing and accounts receivable reporting
Complete reconciliations between operational and finance systems
Analyse revenue trends, billing performance and margin outcomes
Develop insights and recommendations that support commercial decision-making
Act as a key owner of billing workflows and supporting systems
Drive automation, process improvement and workflow optimisation initiatives
Support Power BI reporting and dashboard development
Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, Customer Service and Commercial teams
Support governance, compliance and audit requirements
Assist with the ongoing development of revenue management practices across the business
About You
Experience in systems accounting, revenue accounting, billing, accounts receivable or financial analysis
Strong understanding of billing and accounting processes and financial controls
Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capability
Experience working with ERP, billing or finance systems
Highly systems-savvy with a passion for process improvement and automation
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence across teams
Experience using Power BI for reporting and analysis
Commercially minded with an understanding of revenue, margin and business performance drivers
Curious mindset with an interest in AI, automation and emerging technologies
Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline (preferred)
Experience with Power BI, Smartsheet, Copilot or workflow automation tools highly regarded
