
St John of God Midland Public Hospital we provide a comprehensive range of services including emergency medicine, critical care, day chemotherapy, paediatric care, aged and stroke care, maternity and general surgery.
Our 307-bed public hospital is operated under a public-private partnership between the State Government and St John of God Health Care.
About the role
As a Revenue Officer, you will work closely with patients, hospital staff, health funds and insurers to ensure accurate and compliant billing for private and other chargeable patients. You will provide guidance on billing arrangements, manage patient enquiries, and maintain accurate financial and patient records to support revenue collection and a positive patient experience.
You will also contribute to revenue improvement initiatives, support the development of effective billing processes and controls, build strong stakeholder relationships, and assist with staff education and continuous improvement activities to ensure efficient, consistent and high-quality revenue management practices.
We are recruiting for multiple Revenue Officer positions to support service delivery across seven days per week. Contracted hours will be determined based on operational requirements, candidate availability, and negotiation with the successful applicants.

Your skills and experience
We're looking for a candidate with experience in hospital billing or healthcare administration, supported by a solid understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes. The successful applicant will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with medical, nursing and administrative stakeholders at all levels.
You will be a proactive and customer-focused professional who thrives in a collaborative team environment. Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain high standards under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, is also required.

We can offer you
Salary: $81,827 to $88,109 per annum (pro-rata) plus 12% superannuation
Permanent part-time position.
