The Community Revenue Cycle Manager serves as the primary financial leader and subject matter expert for all private-pay revenue cycle activities across the Covenant Living Community. This role provides financial oversight, risk mitigation, and collaborative decision-making with campus executive leadership while maintaining hands-on accountability for resident billing, accounts receivable, and regulatory financial processes.

Acting as the central point of coordination between Community Operations, Revenue Cycle, and Central Office Finance, this role ensures accurate revenue capture, timely cash collections, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

The position owns complex resident financial matters, Medicaid eligibility oversight, entrance fee refund administration, and resident trust accounting, while serving as the escalation point for high-risk or sensitive financial issues. This role leads through influence rather than direct supervision and is accountable for the overall private-pay financial health of the campus.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Campus Revenue Cycle Leadership & Executive Advisory
  • Serve as the primary private-pay revenue cycle advisor to the Executive Director and campus leadership.
  • Lead campus-level initiatives to optimize private-pay revenue, reduce AR exposure, and improve financial processes.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex or high-risk resident financial cases.
  • Respond to executive-level data requests and financial inquiries with clear, actionable insights.
  1. Private Pay Billing & Revenue Integrity
  • Responsible for campus-wide private-pay billing processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with contractual terms.
  • Prepare and review monthly resident billing statements and revenue reports.
  • Audit monthly charges to ensure completeness, proper revenue recognition, and ancillary service capture.
  • Partner with third-party billing vendors to validate hospice billing, ancillary charges, and copay accuracy.
  • Audit census and payor data to ensure alignment between EMR, billing systems, and financial reporting.
  • Investigate and resolve EMR census or billing discrepancies to protect revenue integrity.
  • Provide direct support and resolution for resident and family billing inquiries requiring advanced financial expertise.
  1. Accounts Receivable & Cash Collections Strategy
  • Oversee private-pay accounts receivable performance and cash receipt processes, including ACH activity and reconciliations.
  • Monitor AR aging and financial risk, preparing regular AR risk reports for campus and corporate leadership.
  • Develop, recommend and manage payment plans in accordance with organizational policy.
  • Lead financial conferences with residents, POAs, and interdisciplinary campus teams as needed.
  • Ensure consistent application of collection procedures while maintaining resident-centered service standards.
  1. Resident Financial Risk Management & Program Oversight
  • Identify residents with Medicaid eligibility potential and educate families on application requirements.
  • Monitor renewals and ongoing eligibility compliance.
  • Coordinate with external Medicaid specialists, attorneys, and campus partners.
  • Conduct financial intake meetings with new residents and POAs.
  • Review disclosures and ensure compliance with financial admission guidance.
  • Report identified financial risks to campus and corporate leadership.
  1. Trust, Entrance Fee & Compliance Administration (x%)
  • Identify, prepare and submit Entrance Fee refund requests for corporate approval and maintain refund schedules.
  • Oversee Resident Trust Accounting, including deposits, disbursements, interest, and reporting.
  • File and manage Social Security Representative Payee applications and reporting.
  • Maintain resident data in actuarial systems for revenue recognition and regulatory reporting.

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role or an accounting or bookkeeping role

  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.
  • Sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office/community setting.
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight up to 50 lbs.

  • Engaging in repetitive movements of wrists, hands, and fingers - typing and/or writing.
  • Clarity of Vision
  • For near visual acuity Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers.
  • For Far visual acuity, Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. This is not just the ability to see a person or object, but the ability to recognize features as well.

Compensation Pay Range:

$67,295.00 - $93,610.25 per year

Reasonable Pay Estimate

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $67,295.00 - $93,610.25 per year. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
