
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Revenue Administrator, Revenue Cycle, Accounts & Billing to join the Bon Secours Health System. Ireland’s Largest Private Healthcare provider.
Location: Bon Secours Hospital Cork
Contract type: 1 year fixed term.
The role includes co-operating with other hospital departments to ensure invoicing and claims are processed accurately and efficiently.

To ensure that all billing accurately reflects agreements with the Health Insurance provider and in turn strive to a "zero tolerance" standard regarding billing errors
To ensure billing codes are consistent with all documents/prepared submitted to billing as collated by claims staff
To obtain all required documentation in case of implants required for submission, e.g., theatre notes, supplier invoice etc.
To manually post services such as pharmacy, inpatient Physio/Dietetics, cardiology services and implants/consumables as required
To ensure self-payer charge accounts are billed as soon as possible in conjunction with the Booking Office/NNIS OP logbook
To follow up on all IT issues through the IT Helpdesk and to actively pursue the resolving of IT issues on a timely basis
To follow up on a timely basis all returns regarding billing errors in conjunction with credit control
To ensure all outpatient claims are billed on a timely basis
To ensure all self-paying patients are billed on a timely basis
To collate all hospital bills with completed claim forms from Consultants ensuring all information such as theatre codes, membership numbers and patient signatures are present
To ensure histology reports are attached when necessary
To add all claims to a relevant claim on claims submission application
To review the Outpatient Unbilled report on a weekly basis and to follow up on same
To ensure that all members of the public (including patients, visitors, relations etc.) are always treated with courtesy and respect
To ensure that any complaints/queries in relation to fees etc. are dealt with professionally in line with Best Practice and the Bon Secours Core Values
To post payments and staff discounts on PIMS and record the Daily Fast Cash Reports on the Excel Ledger
To record and balance all cash/cheques/card payments/online payments in the Cash Ledger and prepare the daily lodgement.
To ensure that all receipts are allocated to the correct patient record
To ensure the safe custody of all cash
To follow up on telephone queries on all patient and insurer queries with Credit Control and update the relevant notes on PIMS
Allocation of Revenue Cycle post to the various departments
To process all assigned insurer payments and related queries for follow up.
To participate in the claim verification and collation process as required by the health insurers, with all claims submitted being added to a claim on the system and updating claims submission sheet
To comply with the requirements of the claims tracking module on PIMS and ticking the relevant boxes where applicable
To ensure that the collation of claims documentation is complete and accurate and in turn strive to implement "zero tolerance" standard regarding collations errors
To ensure an even submission pattern is always adhered to where possible with submission daily and updating claims submission spreadsheet
Filing/attaching of all claim related documents and consultation bills on BECS
Contacting consultants for additional Professional Fee bills and length of stay letters
Processing of late bills, adding claim numbers and membership numbers
Alert all departments to send blank claim forms to patients for signature, completion of injury section or further membership details
To ensure as best as possible the timely completion and submission of claim forms by Hospital Consultants to the appropriate Health Care Insurance providers
To generate and validate lists of outstanding claims forms required from consultants using DataWarehouse reports and circulating these to consultants weekly or as required
Contacting Consultants where total claims outstanding from the Hospital exceed the predetermined level
Highlighting of high value claims with the above identified Consultants to be actioned weekly and pursuing unbilled claims over €10K weekly
Dealing with queries from consultants, consultant secretaries or external billing companies regarding outstanding claim forms to be completed
To actively develop working relationships to promote timely completion and submission of Insurance claim forms by Hospital Consultants to the Patient Accounts Office for processing
To encourage and support where required the timely completion and submission of claim forms by Hospital Consultants to the appropriate Health Care Insurance providers
To complete consultant claim form and related invoice to support preparation of consultant claim detail.
