Job Description

Lead the returns team in processing customer, retail, and vendor returns. Accurately and efficiently flow inventory throughout the department during the analysis process. Review and refine current procedures to decrease processing time, increase service levels, and improve variable operating costs within the department.

Position Details

Work Environment:

What You’ll Do:

  • Prioritize daily work schedule for the department, and work with other departments inside the warehouse to reallocate labor to best meet customer demand and the strategic company goals
  • Have a thorough understanding of all returns processing, analyzing, retail retag and outlet
  • Plan effective use of department equipment and personnel to meet operating budget and service levels
  • Assist Returns Supervisor in refining operating guidelines and monitoring workflow
  • Assist Returns Supervisor in coaching and development of staff in order to create a consistently high level of personal motivation and performance among all personnel
  • Maintain a monthly report card program for touch bases with all employees
  • Conduct annual reviews with all assigned employees
  • Build cross departmental communications with all functional areas of the company
  • Manage the development of meaningful labor and production measurements
  • Assure that all actions taken with regard to direct reports are in accordance with established company policies
  • Maintain documentation on returned products and performance objectives
  • Maintain clean/safe work area
  • Other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

  • Capability to set clear key performance indicators, deliver constructive feedback and address performance directly
  • Intermediate keyboard and computer experience (MS Excel, Google Docs)
  • Detail oriented with high level of accuracy
  • The ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and lead through ambiguity
  • The ability to indentify process shortfalls and submit workable change
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills
  • Change management skills

Environmental Factors:

  • Standing or walking for up to eight hours a day.
  • Frequently lifting up to thirty pounds, occasionally lifting up to seventy pounds.
  • Frequently reaching, twisting, and bending in multiple directions.
  • Ability to perform work in tight quarter workstations.
  • Moderate warehouse noise level.
  • Push/pull a picking cart and/or pallet of up to five hundred pounds.
  • Continuous arm, hand, and wrist movement (i.e.: folding garments).
  • Work in temperatures ranging from 50 – 95 degrees.
  • The ability to walk long distances
  • The ability to climb flights of stairs throughout the day
  • The ability to either stand for long periods of time
  • The ability to remain in a stationary position, often sanding for prolonged periods of times
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work area to another
  • Adjusting or moving objects over 20 lbs. in all directions

Compensation Range: $21.50 - 26.80/Hour

Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
