Job Description

The Return Specialist’s primary responsibility is to receive and process customer returns shipped to the Return Center, receive shipments from multiple carriers, and entering data into Main Entry, Back Office and POS systems. The Return Specialist is also responsible for coordinating returned items for shipping to stores or to the approved Jobber. This position requires the ability to work independently and with employees from multiple departments to resolve issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive daily shipments from multiple carriers
• Efficiently process returned items/orders using the Point of Sale (POS) system and back office systems
• Prepare product and process shipments to stores and/or to the jobber
• Handling and processing of singles, damages, and Return to Vendor (RTVs)
• Ship product out using approved guidelines and reporting tools
• Accurately label merchandise
• Maintain accurate and orderly records of all receipts, shipments etc.
• Work effectively with corporate departments, including but not limited to Store Operations, Customer Care, Sale Audit, Merchandise Control, and Buying to speed up processing times and resolve customer service issues
• Analyze and provide recommendations on issues related to order exceptions and service escalations
• Maintain the organization of the Return Center with an applied emphasis to product placement and maintaining proper supply levels
• Adherence to all Loss Prevention policies and procedures including the protection of all company assets

• Knowledge of Rack Room and Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse Store Operations policies and procedures
• Highly proficient in areas of Inventory Control, including processing shipments, receipts, singles, damages and jobber shipments
• Advanced user knowledge of POS and Back Office applications, specifically in areas of return management, Ship to Home and applications related to the overall job description.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Above average knowledge and proficiency with basic computer applications and software (Ie. Microsoft Office, etc)
• Above average product knowledge
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Flexible scheduling is required due to delivery times and volume
• 1 + years of retail management experience
  
  

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential function of this job. The primary location of this position is a typical Warehouse environment. However, the responsibilities may require being energetic, motivated, meetings, conferences and traveling as needed.

Office environment. 5 days per week
