About the Role:

Furniture Mart in Houma, LA is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Store Associate to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic retail environment where you'll help customers find the perfect pieces to make their house a home. Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers on the sales floor, providing a welcoming and positive shopping experience
• Help customers select furniture and home furnishings that meet their needs, style, and budget
• Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Maintain showroom appearance by keeping displays clean, organized, and visually appealing
• Restock merchandise and assist with inventory management and receiving
• Assemble furniture for display
• Unload and recieve shipments
• Load customer purchases
• Answer customer questions about product features, availability, and delivery options

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Previous retail sales, stockroom or customer service experience is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
• Basic math skills and comfort with POS or cash register systems
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays

Compensation: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
