AX9 Security is seeking a professional and dependable Retail Security Guard to support daily store operations and ensure a safe, welcoming environment at a retail store located in Jamaica, NY This position requires strong customer service skills, a polished appearance, and the ability to maintain order in a fast-paced retail setting.

Site: Retail Store – Jamaica, NY
Position: Concierge Security Officer
Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday
Hours: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr (increases to $19.00/hr after 30 days based on work performance)

• Strong customer service skills

• Ability to maintain a calm, controlled presence during peak times

• Ability to complete daily logs and incident reports accurately

• Ability to multitask and follow site-specific procedures

• Comfortable working with store management and AX9 supervisors

Experience Preferred

• Retail security or loss prevention experience

• Customer service or front-line experience

• Experience handling customer concerns professionally

Role Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence at the entrance or designated post

• Observe and report suspicious behavior or potential theft activity

• Assist customers with basic questions and directions when needed

• Monitor customer flow and support staff during busy periods

• Use customer service–based de-escalation when appropriate

• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports

• Ensure compliance with AX9 Security standards and store policies

• Provide exceptional customer service at all times

• Active and updated NY Guard Card

• MUST SPEAK SPANISH

• Must be 18+ years of age

• Must have reliable transportation

• Able to stand for extended periods in a busy retail environment
