The Retail Receiving and Distribution Manager role is a full-time Leadership position responsible for all aspects of managing the Retail Distribution Center and the Online Shop as well as providing business support for the Retail division. Accountable for inventory management, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment. Retail Receiving and Distribution Manager reports to the Director of Finance.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Building High Performing Teams:
- Attract, hire, develop, inspire and retain top leadership talent through engaging leadership
- Coach, develop to maximize the success and potential of RDC leadership and colleagues
- Set and reinforce clear and aligned expectations, performance, results and accountability with all leaders and colleagues
Live the Culture:
- Lend support and direction to the RDC team keeping the stores full and abundant through communications with buying team
- Build a team that works well together based on the needs of the division
- Continue to develop onboarding program for the RDC colleagues and leadership teams
- Promote the culture of colleague recognition and inspiration
Operational Excellence:
- Positively communicate outlet sales goals, Inventory management, Budget, EES, promotions
- Proactive Outlet Operation Execution (Business Preparation, Management Coverage, Communication)
- Accountability of all outlet inventory financials – Labor management, Control Costs, Beverage Cost, COS, Operating Expenses, P&L
- Strategic inventory management in partnership with the RDC Leadership and buying team
- Collaborate on floor sets and product change over in outlets based on needs of the business and seasonal periods
- Act as RDC manager on duty, when scheduled, address guest concerns, vendor concerns, maintenance issues
- Collaborate on morning and afternoon Pre-Shift meetings
- Continue development of RDC policies and procedures
- Continue to develop Loss Prevention and safety programs and training evolving to current needs
- Meet payroll targets by ensuring appropriate RDC and Floral coverage
Daily Meetings & Tasks
- Senior Retail Leadership floor presence
- Senior leadership presence at the morning and afternoon pre shift team meetings
- Daily division labor review, retail leadership follow up & accountability
- Ensure daily RDC product email distribution
- Ensure daily floral communication email distribution
- Ensure daily mark outs, product retickets, FIFO, Laundry product tracking, organization and cleaning
- Retail RDC final candidate interviews
- Review daily AVERO commentary, follow up and accountability
Weekly Meetings & Tasks
- Senior Retail Leadership presence at weekly retail leads and leadership meeting evolving the meeting agenda and engagement
- Weekly one on one meetings with Retail RDC follow up and accountability to monthly directives and initiatives
- Weekly one on one with Director of Operations, Resort Experience and Retail
- Approve weekly team RDC leadership and colleague schedules.
- Schedule weekly property RDC upkeep walk through to ensure ALICE tracking is up to date
- Approve Watson schedule
- Approve and sign off on receiving.
- Approve and sign off on all other operating expenses
- Approve and submit bi-weekly Timesaver reports to Payroll
Monthly Meetings & Tasks
- Collaborate on Retail monthly P&L review with Director of Operations, Resort Experience and Retail
- Complete and collaborate P&L Executive commentary and review with Director of Operations, Resort Experience and Retail
- Collaborate on Marketing Vision, Focus, Strategy & Plan
- Senior retail leadership representation at monthly team meetings, including monthly colleague Key Performance Indicators review
- Retail RDC Property Maintenance Upkeep Review & Tour
- Attend Monthly OTB Review Meeting with Buying team, Retail Director, and Director of Operations, Resort Experience and Retail, follow up and accountability to monthly initiatives
- Attend and collaborate in strategic monthly merchandising meeting
- Schedule and execute monthly shop inventories
Quarterly Meetings & Tasks
- Review and approve Finance Audit
- Create and schedule quarterly RDC deep cleaning needs
- Review inventory by shop (Sales performance, Trends, AUR, Pricing)
- Develop RDC Team training
Annual Meetings & Tasks
- Submit Retail RDC Leaders annual reviews and developmental plans for review to Director of Finance
- Ensure completion of all hourly reviews and development plans
- Submit direct report reviews and developmental plans to Director of Finance for review while ensuring division is completed by deadline
- Completion of Retail RDC annual budget and all associated tasks
- Communicate and activate Strategic EES Plan
- Communicate and activate Strategic Marketing Plan
- Communicate and activate Strategic Labor Standards Plan
- Communicate and activate Strategic Inventory Management Ideas
- Communicate and activate Strategic Cost Control & Contingency Plan
- Collaborate with Director of Operations, Resort Experience and Retail on 5-year Capital Plan for consideration.
Other Operating Purchase Requests & Approvals
- Review and submit purchase request to Director of Operations, Resort Experience and Retail
- Purchase requests are approved by Director of Operations, Resort Experience and Retail
Qualifications
- 5+ Years Retail Sales Management Experience
- 3+ years Merchandising Manager experience
- 3+ years Retail Planning and Buying experience
- Must be fluent in Dayforce, Excel, Word, Power Point, Publisher, POS
- Must have Maricopa County Manager Food Handlers Card and AZ Liquor Manager Server Certification
- Proven ability to drive sales results through a strong level of business acumen
- Demonstrated success in talent development/management
- Strong communication skills and ability to foster a customer focused selling culture
- Availability for varied weekly shifts including weekend, closing and peak shifts
