Brief Role Description

This position is a career level 19P and is located in Reston, VA with a role classification of Hybrid.

  • Support development and implementation of all Audi of America (AoA) national and regional retail sales programs in the U.S. market, including forecasting, budgeting, cost-benefit analysis, and post program analysis for all Audi SUV, Sedan, EV and Sport carlines.
  • Support the achievement of all annual Audi national and regional sales and P&L objectives
  • Liaison between AoA Operations and Finance, developing strategies to maximize vehicle contribution margin for all Audi SUV, Sedan, EV and Sport carlines.
  • Liaison between AoA Operations and Audi Financial Services, developing retail programs to drive profitable growth and captive penetration for all Audi SUV, Sedan, EV and Sport carlines.
  • Liaison between AoA Operations, AoA Marketing & AoA Digital implementing key promotional messages, driving sales and marketing strategies to grow retail market share and speed to market for all Audi SUV, Sedan, EV and Sport carlines.
  • Liaison between AoA Operations and the AoA Field organization, benchmarking competitor tactics and developing market-specific retail offers at the region/state levels for all Audi SUV, Sedan, EV and Sport carlines.

Possible Tasks within this Role

Retail Incentives Planning & Achievement – 50%

  • As a member of the Retail Incentives team, support achievement of all national and regional objectives including: New vehicle sales, market share, vehicle turn rates, aging inventory, model year sell-down, contribution margin performance, dealer profitability, sales satisfaction index, customer loyalty for all Audi SUV, Sedan, EV and Sport carlines.
  • Develop and perform continuous in-depth benchmarking research & analysis inclusive of data visualization and presentation materials reflecting key competitors’ go-to-market strategies and tactics such as pricing, incentive actions, retail promotional campaigns.
  • Support budgeting, development, coordination of all national and regional retail sales support programs in the U.S. market for all Audi SUV, Sedan, EV and Sport carlines.
  • Responsible for optimizing sales & incentives effectiveness for Regions while overseeing program structure, communication, budgets while identifying potential risks & opportunities for all Audi SUV, Sedan, EV and Sport carlines.
  • Collaborate with Field organization to develop and implement Region and State level incentive programs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of short- & long-term selling strategies.
  • Assist in the development of local market strategies based on extensive competitive research & trends.
  • Principal back up for Retail Incentives Planning Specialist.

Retail Incentive Program Communication & Publication – 20%

  • Coordinate end-to-end monthly planning, budgeting, review, and approval activities related to monthly program publications for New vehicle incentives.
  • Execute thorough program understanding with internal stakeholders (Operations, Finance, Marketing, Digital, Product) and external stakeholders (AFS, OMD/IT&S, dealers & 3rd party vendors).
  • Support the development of monthly and weekly executive management presentations.

Retail Incentive Merchandising & Administration – 20%

  • Develop and maintain all customer-facing program disclaimers, securing all Legal approvals.
  • Support monthly National, Regional & DAG advertising offer creation process with back-end offer technical confirmation.
  • Finalize placement of key promotional messages with AoA Marketing and Digital.
  • Liaison between AoA Operations and OMD & Incentives Competency teams ensuring technical requirements for incentive technical programming.

Process Standards & QMS Lead – 10%

  • Maintain proper archive of Retail Incentive planning documents, market and competitive studies, record of changes, program rules and governance, published documents, disclaimers.
  • Responsible for Retail Incentives team QMS KPI tracking, maintenance of work instructions, process standards.

Qualification requirements

5-7 years automotive or role-related experience

Skills

  • Financial aptitude: familiarity with standard accounting principles
  • Communication skills: interpersonal, presentation and written
  • Integration & Collaboration: joining people, process and systems

Specialized Skills

Required

  • Proficiency in technical data management and visualization (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, etc)
  • Understanding of automotive sales and finance instruments (brand, captive finance arm, dealership)
  • Analytical expertise, including cost-benefit analysis
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking: sales and business planning using logic, reason, and strategy
  • Process innovation: target business opportunities and address with process improvement
  • Creative thinking: develop new solutions to drive Audi sales and margins (national & regional)
  • Implementation: coordinate efforts within AoA (Operations, Marketing, Digital, Key Vendors), AFS, and Audi Field with go to market strategies for retail and corporate sales including supporting programs

Desired

Proficiency in Adobe, SAP, SQL

Work Flexibility

  • Full-time position in Reston office
  • Travel to national, regional, dealer meetings as appropriate to meet business needs (<5% travel required)
