Job Description

As Retail Planning Forecast & Analytics Manager, you play a pivotal role in driving the successful implementation and ongoing management of Planning, Forecast, and Analytics initiatives within the retail domain of IT Europe. Reporting to the IT Retail Director, you work at the intersection of project management, technology, and business partnership, collaborating closely with both internal teams and external partners to support Chanel’s ambition for data-driven excellence in retail operations

WHAT IMPACT YOU CREATE AT CHANEL

  • Lead the implementation of Retail Planning, Forecast and Analytics projects, covering the business process as sales forecast & budgeting, boutique staff planning, order replenishment and pricing, across various technical platform such as IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), Microsoft Power Platform or other relevant solutions.
  • Supervise the run and user support of existing Planning Analytics solution (9 applications) and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Manage Boutique staff planning product implementation and roll-out.
  • Manage relationships with business stakeholders and technology vendors: identify and translate business requirement into actionable solutions, evaluating third-party propositions, negotiating contracts, maintain effective communication.
  • Manage and lead the Planning Analytics team including hiring new resources, training / upskilling, and performance management.
  • Contribute to the budget elaboration and cost controlling allocate resources efficiently, prioritize technology investments aligned to business needs and optimize cost spending.
  • Implement CSR design and data driven/data-informed strategy and guidelines for IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) products and take an active role in Chanel’s Planning Analytics community.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Educational Background: Engineer or master’s degree (Bac + 5)
  • Strong knowledge in planning and analytics tools, particularly with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) and other relevant software.Strong data analysis skills, including data modelling, data transformation, and data visualization. Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform or similar solutions is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the Luxury Retail Industry and retail-specific processes such as open to by, sales forecasting, budgeting, inventory management, pricing and order replenishment.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing projects, including project planning, execution, and delivery; As well as product management with skills including product discovery, UX / UI design, agile product delivery, data informed approach. Ability to oversee multiple projects and products simultaneously.
  • Ability to recruit, train, and manage staff effectively.Performance management and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with business stakeholders, technology vendors, and team members. Experience in negotiating contracts and maintaining productive relationships with external partners.
