We're looking for a Retail Operations & Training Lead to join us!

The Retail Operations & Training Lead will own retail operations and process adherence across all Axel Arigato stores, acting as the link between Store Managers and the Head of Retail. The role maps and rolls out the processes, guidelines and training that keep stores running well, and steps in wherever execution needs support. It works closely with Operations, VM, People & Culture, Finance, and the store teams to protect both the customer experience and the commercial performance.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

This role suits someone who has run a shop floor and now wants to shape how every store runs. You are structured and hands-on, as comfortable writing an SOP as you are standing in a stockroom. You read a store quickly, spot what is slowing it down, and turn that into a clear, practical fix the team can actually use.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Your goal is to ensure stores run smoothly, that teams feel supported, and standards show up on the floor every day. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Own end-to-end retail operations and process adherence across all stores, spanning security, health and safety, cash handling, POS, deliveries, stock and back-of-house standards, clienteling, product training, and recruitment support.

  • Map new and existing retail processes and project manage operational initiatives from idea to rollout.

  • Write the guidelines, SOPs, policies, checklists and training materials that show store teams what good execution looks like.

  • Lead the rollout of processes through onboarding, training, refresh sessions and follow-ups with Store and Area Managers.

  • Organise stocktakes and transfers and own the relevant P&L cost lines.

  • Coordinate in-store events and manage their events budget.

  • Drive clienteling and data-capture strategies across the estate.

  • Act as the central support for operational questions, gather insight from stores through regular visits and feedback, and escalate risks and opportunities to the Head of Retail.

ARE YOU THE ONE?

We seek people with most of the following:

  • Minimum 5 years of in-store management experience.

  • A solid understanding of retail operations and process design.

  • Experience creating training, coaching teams, and writing policies and procedures.

  • Project management skills, with a track record of taking initiatives from idea to rollout.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to keep things clear, practical and on time.

  • Structured, hands-on, accountable and curious, with an approachable manner.

Contract type: Permanent with an initial probationary period of six months. Full-time.
Location: Hybrid, with regular in-store and Gothenburg HQ presence expected.
