Job Description

We are seeking a results-driven Retail Operations Manager (ROM) to support retail execution for the Walmart business. This roleis responsible fortranslating retail execution priorities into consistent day-to-day operational delivery acrossbrokerand field teams.

Working closely with the Sales VP, Senior Retail Execution Manager, Account Teams, and Broker Leadership, the ROM will ensure programs are deployed effectively, field teams are equipped for success, and in-store execution expectations are delivered with excellence within the allocated budget and approved execution plan

The ideal candidate combines strong operational discipline, cross-functional collaboration skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage fast-moving executional priorities across multiple stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Retail Management, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in retail operations management.

  • Proven leadership experience with a focus on driving operational excellence and team performance.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

Whatwill beyour key responsibilities?

Retail Execution Delivery

  • Execute retail operations priorities supporting the Walmart business and ensure successful deployment of execution programs across broker and field teams.

  • Partner closely with the Senior Retail Execution Manager to operationalize retail execution strategies, field priorities, and execution plans withinallocatedbudget.

Broker & Field Management

  • Support broker execution by driving operational readiness, communication, accountability, and execution follow-through.

  • Monitor field activity, execution performance, and compliance against established priorities, KPIs, and coverage expectations.

  • Identifyexecution gaps, operational risks, and in-store opportunities and drivetimelycorrective actions.

  • Partner with broker field leaders on a weekly basis to present and ensure priorities areunderstood,execution barriers are escalated, and follow-up actions are completed for your retailers and account teams.

Account Team Partnership

  • Serve as an embedded operational partner to the Walmart Account Team, translating business priorities into executable field actions.

  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, supply chain, and broker stakeholders to support successful activation of customer initiatives.

  • Provide clear updates to the Account Team onexecutionprogress, risks, issues, and recommended actions.

Performance & Analytics

  • Track and report against key retail execution metrics, including coverage, activity completion, execution quality, issue resolution, and account-specific priorities.

  • Analyze broker activity, execution trends, store-level performance, and operational metrics toidentifyrisks, opportunities, and improvement areas.

  • Provide regular updates to the Account Team and Senior Retail Execution Manager on execution progress, gaps, and recommended actions.

  • Use data and reporting to support better decision-making, improve field execution, and communicate performance clearly to stakeholders.

Operational Problem Solving

  • Ensure retail execution programs are ready for deployment by confirming timelines, communication, field instructions, materials, and success measures.

  • Resolve operational challengesimpactingWalmart retail execution and escalate broader issues to the Senior Retail Execution Manager when enterprise-level decisions arerequired

  • Maintain clear action logs, issue trackers, and follow-up routines to ensure accountability andtimelyresolution.
