Define, implement, and continuously improve ZEISS retail excellence standards (e.g., customer journey, service protocols, visual merchandising, KPIs) in line with ZEISS retail strategy, brand positioning, and regional priorities.
Identify and build critical retail capabilities (e.g., store operations, training, sales, CRM), including standardized processes/tools, and contribute to the development of new formats and retail training programs with Brand, Training, and Commercial teams.
Further develop and refine existing ZEISS retail formats based on market feedback, customer insights, and performance data.
Support market entries and format rollouts, collaborating with local/regional teams to adapt concepts to local needs while maintaining global standards.
Define and monitor key retail KPIs, analyze store and concept performance, and derive insights to initiate improvement actions.
Drive best-practice sharing across markets and formats and foster a culture of continuous improvement in retail operations.
Partner with Architecture, Marketing, Sales, Digital, Product Management, and external partners to ensure an integrated, on-brand customer experience across channels and in-store.
Coordinate closely with markets on expansion and growth plans to scale ZEISS retail formats globally.
As a Retail Manager you are responsible for building and driving retail excellence across ZEISS partner retail formats within the ZEISS Business Partner Program. This role focuses on identifying and integrating retail capabilities into the overall retail strategy, optimizing existing store formats, and supporting scalable expansion in line with ZEISS brand, customer experience, and commercial objectives.
Academic degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
Several years of experience in retail management, preferably in premium or service-centric environments (optical, healthcare, consumer electronics, or comparable).
Proven track record in managing or supporting multi-store operations, implementing retail standards and processes as well as improving store performance through data-driven decisions
Experience with concept development, pilots, format expansion and franchise-formats is highly desirable.
Familiarity with omnichannel and customer-centric retail models is an advantage.
Strong understanding of end-to-end retail operations and general retail trends in an international setup
High customer orientation and passion for delivering outstanding in-store experiences.
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
