
Loss Prevention Officer – West Hollywood
Location: West Hollywood, CA
Shift Lengths: 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts available
Compensation: $22–$24/hour
Valcor Group is currently hiring experienced Loss Prevention Officers for a high-traffic retail environment in West Hollywood. This position requires a sharp, professional, and highly observant individual capable of operating in a premium customer-facing setting while proactively preventing theft and maintaining a strong security presence.
We are specifically seeking solid, command-presence type candidates with excellent situational awareness, professionalism, and communication skills. Former law enforcement, military veterans, and highly recommended security professionals are strongly encouraged to apply.
Candidates must have prior loss prevention or retail security experience.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain an active and visible floor presence throughout the store
Monitor customer activity and identify suspicious behavior
Conduct theft deterrence and loss prevention operations
Monitor high-risk areas and support store staff during peak traffic periods
Perform fitting room article counts and receipt verification when appropriate
Maintain professional interaction with customers and staff at all times
Respond to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies quickly and professionally
Coordinate with mall security and law enforcement when necessary
Complete accurate incident reports and documentation
Maintain a polished and professional appearance suitable for a premium retail environment
Requirements
Valid BSIS Guard Card
Previous loss prevention or retail security experience required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Professional appearance and strong command presence
Ability to remain active and standing throughout the shift
Reliable transportation
Ability to follow procedures and chain of command
Evening and weekend availability required
U.S. Military veterans strongly preferred
Former law enforcement strongly recommended
