The Retail Lending Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with Company HMDA and Adverse policies, and monitoring compliance with other Northwest policies upon request.
Essential Functions
Meet Quality Control production goals
Support production team turn time goals
Minimize errors, ensuring quality results
Maintain objectivity in the assessment of compliance with Company policies
Recommend and encourage process, procedures, and corrective actions that ensure compliance while supporting efficiency and customer service initiatives
Actively participate in educational seminars and other training opportunities
Perform post-close file reviews to ensure documentation supports HMDA data integrity
Track recurring HMDA issues
Perform additional post-close compliance reviews as instructed
Recommend enhancements to department HMDA process
Ensure compliance with Northwest’s policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations
Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency
Work as part of a team
Work with on-site equipment
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related experience preferred
2 - 6 years Experience in mortgage lending, with concentration in areas of loan production, compliance or audit preferred
Knowledge of all applicable regulatory guidelines, investor and insurer requirements, loan products and programs, and loan policies, processes and procedures
