A Day in the Life:

Your Key Responsibilities include:

Own store technology delivery & operations. Lead feature development and on‑call for POS, clienteling, store reporting, and payments; run incident/root cause analysis, harden releases, and monitor uptime, authorization success rates, and tender reliability. Launch & scale new stores and relocations. Partner with Retail Ops to stage POS devices, payment terminals, and clienteling iPads for new store openings; ensure configuration, integrations, security, and acceptance tests are complete before doors open. Integrate payments & clienteling. Work with payment and POS partners and clienteling platforms to deliver frictionless checkout and associate workflows, aligning SDKs, APIs, and compliance requirements. Enable omnichannel store experiences. Coordinate with Global OMS and eCommerce teams to support BOPIS, ship‑from‑store, and remote selling; track store‑level SLAs and inventory & price accuracy that underpin these journeys. Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external partners for hardware, software, and network services. Participate in strategic planning for retail technology evolution and innovation. Ensure high availability and performance of retail applications, including CRM, mPOS, and store network infrastructure. Measure & improve. Maintain dashboards for latency, error budgets, device health, and store uptime; prioritize backlogs with data; align release calendars with trade/holiday peaks and change‑management controls.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 6 years in a retail-focused environment.
  • Proven track record of managing and deploying modern POS systems and retail applications.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, store infrastructure, and customer-facing technologies.
