IN2WORK (I2W) is a vocational training program opportunity for people who are currently incarcerated. The IN2WORK program aims to help reduce recidivism by providing students with the opportunity to learn transferable, foundational food service, warehouse, and retail job skills through a comprehensive curriculum requiring classroom and hands-on training. Students receive a nationally recognized certification upon completion of the program, a key differentiator when looking for employment after release.
The IN2WORK program, along with other Retail and Workforce Development Programs, is designed to prepare individuals for successful reentry by developing workplace readiness, accountability, and practical skills aligned to food service, warehousing, commissary, and retail operations. These programs support Aramark’s commitment to education, career readiness, and public safety across the Corrections line of business.
The main purpose of IN2WORK and related retail programs is to teach students how to function in a workplace setting and work as a team, leading to an increase in public safety and a decrease in future victimization. Students learn accountability and responsibility through disciplined classroom and hands-on training. By building competent and confident graduates, these programs set students up for success upon reentry. Learn more here at https://www.aramark.com/in2work
