Furniture Mart in Houma, LA is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Retail Furniture Sales Associate to join our team! Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers on the showroom floor, providing a welcoming and consultative sales experience
- Guide customers through product selections, including sofas, bedroom sets, dining furniture, and home accessories
- Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product inventory, features, pricing, and promotions
- Follow up with customers regarding orders, deliveries, and post-sale satisfaction
- Keep the showroom clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times
Requirements:
- Previous retail sales or customer service experience preferred; furniture or home décor experience a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first attitude
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn POS and inventory systems
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
- High school diploma or GED required
