Job Description

The Manager of Retail and Events is responsible for organizing lead-generating retail and consumer events in 3 Markets. Those Markets consist of DC, Maryland, and Virginia. This will include identifying retail and event opportunities, developing scripts and collateral and management of retail and event staff, including their hours & productivity. This will include identifying & scheduling events such as Home Show, State Fairs, Fairs, etc. to staff with a team that generates quality appointments for our sales force. You are responsible for interviewing, training, teaching, & going coaching of the team of promoters which consist of visiting promoters on a consistent basis at retail partners & events.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Event Planning and logistics

Staff Training and Coordination:

· Manage a team of promoters to generate leads for the sales force across retail partnerships & events.

· Manages the execution and logistics of retail shows and exhibitions, including set-up, break- down and transportation of the display/space, promotional items, literature, scripts and other details

· Interview, hire, train, teach, coach & evaluate promoters to achieve PJ Fitz company standards.

· Maintain adequate staffing levels to hit budget goals. Work closely with recruiting to ensure the number of interviews needed to stay staffed.

· Develop promoters’ schedules to hit goals. Schedules are to always be 2 weeks out.

· Consistent visits to promoters within retail & events spaces to coach, train, shadow and inspect what is expected in the field.

Work Schedule: Full Time, M-F 8:00AM-4:30PM (Weekends during event season, Off-days change during event season)

Travel:50% - “Office” Market will be home location (Richmond, VA) – 1 Week in each of the other 2 Markets, 2 Weeks in Home Market. **Subject to change during Home Show Season to meet business needs.

Pay: Salary listed plus the potential of a monthly bonus!
