- Lead and mentor a team of frontend engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative development environment
- Design and implement scalable frontend architecture for our e-commerce platform, ensuring performance, maintainability, and accessibility
- Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and development processes across the frontend team
- Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement in code quality
- Analyze and optimize application performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions
- Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and evaluate their applicability to our platform
- Drive technical decision-making and contribute to the overall technology roadmap for retail and e-commerce initiatives
- Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of new frontend team members
Qualifications
- 6-10 years of professional frontend development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with React and React Native in production environments
- 4+ years of experience in a technical leadership or senior engineering role with team mentoring responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript
- Experience with state management tools such as Redux, Zustand, or similar
- Familiarity with Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps
- Good understanding of: M icroservices, Event-driven architectures, SQL / NoSQL databases
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Demonstrated expertise in e-commerce platform development and retail technology solutions
- Proven ability to design scalable system architecture and make sound technical decisions
- Experience with performance optimization, accessibility standards (WCAG), and responsive design
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
- Nice to Have experience in fintech, banking, or other regulated environments
