About the opportunity

If you are either looking for your first job in retail or have a proven track record in a fast paced retail/ supermarket environment, you’re available to commit to a minimum of working 25 hours each week and you’re looking for your next move, we have an opportunity for you!


Role Details:

  • Offering an above industry average pay rate $31.93 hour + 12% Superannuation
  • + District allowance from $7140 annually (paid fortnightly)
  • + Up to 50% Air Conditioning subsidy
  • + Extra 7 days of paid leave per year = 5 weeks holidays each year
  • Extensive, supportive (paid) training, 12 weeks, 5 hours / day on a rotating roster, Monday - Friday, between 8:45 AM - 5:06 PM
  • Extra hours are available to support a great local team when they are on leave
  • This role will suit someone who has experience in a fast paced retail, supermarket or banking environment who is seeking the next move in their career

You'll be:

  • Performing customer sales and service transactions with customers
  • Managing high value transactions accurately (handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS)
  • Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities
  • Assisting customers with mail lodgements and associate costs
  • Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs
  • Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance

About you
You're friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love working in a team environment. You're ready to put the customer at the centre of everything you do to help make a difference in the community. You'll also need to:


  • Have a great attitude and are willing to learn
  • Be competent or have the ability to learn to work with POS’s and cash handling
  • Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail / parcels regularly and stand for your shift
