Job Purpose:

The Retail Credit Analysis Specialist is responsible for analyzing retail credit applications, assessing customer creditworthiness, and preparing credit proposals in line with the bank’s internal policies, risk appetite and delegated approval authorities. The role supports sound lending decisions by ensuring that all applications are reviewed accurately, consistently and within regulatory and procedural requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze retail credit applications for individuals and small business.
  • Assess customer’s financial position, income, repayment capacity and existing obligations.
  • Perform financial analysis of business financial statement contributing in individual loan repayment.
  • Evaluate the purpose of the credit request and the adequacy of collateral or risk mitigation measures where applicable.
  • Ensure all proposals comply with internal policies, central bank requirements, terms and conditions and delegated authority levels.
  • Propose appropriate credit risk mitigation covenants and risk-return conditions.
  • Maintain accurate credit approval statistics and related reporting on a daily basis.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in economic fields, mathematics, statistics
  • Experience in credit analysis underwriting, lending or risk assessment preferably in retail banking.
  • Knowledge of retail credit products for individual and small business.
  • Strong analytical and financial interpretation skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial statement, income documents, credit history and repayment capacity.
  • Good understanding of banking policies, credit risk principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in Albanian and English.
  • Good communication and team work skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Access, Power Point) and familiarity with banking/credit systems.
  • Strong integrity, confidentiality and customer-oriented mind-set.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of credit cases accurately and within the deadlines.
