“Find your role”

As a Retail Communications & Activity Coordinator at Asda Home Office, you will play a pivotal role in delivering clear, timely, and engaging communications to our Retail and Depot teams and supporting the central activity planning team. You will be responsible for ensuring retail-facing activity is planned efficiently and that stores receive the right information at the right time, supporting our mission to drive exceptional customer service and efficient store and depot operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with key stakeholders in a fast-paced retail environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop, plan, and execute retail communications, ensuring messaging is clear, concise, and relevant for store teams
  • Coordinate reactive communications by working cross-functionally with key teams such as Commercial, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Customer and People
  • Engage with stakeholders to create streamlined activity plans
  • Support the management of the Activity budget
  • Manage communication timelines ensuring that all messages are timely, consistent, and in line with both planned and reactive activity
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on communication effectiveness, gathering feedback from store teams to improve future messaging
  • Be part of the on call rota being available to support the delivery of communication if needed at the weekend and Bank Holidays (one weekend per month, extra payment available)

You’ll have the following:

  • Proven experience in Retail or Internal communications, preferably for a large organisation
  • Strong written, verbal and digital communication skills with a talent for producing clear, engaging messaging
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise under pressure
  • Flexibility to respond quickly to urgent communication needs and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with particular focus on Excel, and experience with communication platforms or software is desirable
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to communication challenges
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective teamwork and communication across all levels of the organisation
