Position: Boutique Retail Clerk

Location: Blue River, BC

Type: Seasonal, Full-Time

Reports to: Sports Shop Manager and Supervisor

The Boutique is a retail store, providing high end products for our guests to use during their Heli-ski vacation or as a take home piece. The Boutique Retail Clerk position is responsible for all Boutique activities, ensuring the department's functions are maintained and the highest level of service is provided for our clientele. This position is of extreme importance; therefore, it is important to represent the company’s corporate image in an exemplary manner demonstrating superior leadership in this complex and challenging environment.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide guidance on where they may find items within the Boutique.
• Generate sales.
• Advise customers on the use and care of merchandise and provide advice concerning specialized products or services.
• Maintain a high level of customer service.
• Setting up merchandise displays.
• Maintain sales records for inventory control.
• Operate computerized inventory recordkeeping and re-ordering systems.
• Work in partnership with Sports Shop and Retail Managers and other employees to maximize store sales and in-store presence.
• Ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory, and procedures.
• Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge.
• Proficient in handling cash and cashout procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 2-5 years of related retail experience.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience and/or education in customer service.
• Computing experience including use of excel, Microsoft teams, and retail software.
• Knowledge of outdoor recreational clothing.
• Solid knowledge of merchandising retail displays.
• Attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
• Solid understanding of sales.
• Must be responsible, prompt, self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Attributes include an energetic personality, people skills, and good grooming standards.
• Must be able to frequently bend and kneel, lift moderate weight, and work on feet for an extended period.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Second language an asset.

Working Conditions

• This position will spend 100% of the time standing.
• Occasional environmental exposures to cold.
• Must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion, and up to 20 pounds regularly.
• Manual dexterity is required to use equipment.

Compensation $21.60 per hour
