As part of the programme, you'll get the opportunity to experience different areas across Retail Banking, working with a range of teams and colleagues.

Our graduate programme combines structured rotations with real-world experience, helping you build a strong foundation for a long-term career in Retail Banking. Your first year will typically be spent in Branch Banking, where you will develop core banking, customer and relationship management skills while learning directly from experienced colleagues. As you progress through the programme, you will gain exposure to different areas of the business, broadening your experience and accelerating your development

You'll learn on the job, contribute to real business initiatives and work alongside experienced professionals who are invested in helping you succeed.

What You’ll Do

As a Retail Banking Graduate, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of teams and projects that help shape the banking experience for personal, business and wealth customers.

Depending on your rotations, you could:

• Support the development of new products and customer propositions
• Analyse customer, market and portfolio data to inform business decisions
• Contribute to strategic projects that enhance customer experiences
• Work with digital, product and operational teams to improve banking services
• Support governance and regulatory initiatives that protect customers and the business
• Build relationships with colleagues, customers and key stakeholders across AIB

Entry Requirements:

• Achieved or expected to achieve a minimum 2.1 Honours Degree (or equivalent for universities outside of Ireland) is a prerequisite for those joining the AIB graduate programme.
• Candidates must be fully authorised to work in Ireland or hold a valid work permit for the full duration of the 23-month contract (September 2027 – August 2029).
