Job Description

The Retail Attendant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the boutique to ensure exceptional service, optimal sales performance, guest satisfaction, and proper stock control are consistently achieved. This role involves assisting guests with product selection, managing merchandise displays and inventory, handling cashiering duties, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the retail area. The Retail Attendant plays a key role in delivering a memorable shopping experience, promoting the hotel’s brand and products, and upholding the resort’s service standards and culture.

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of hotel facilities, services, and Gift Shop products, while actively promoting and upselling to enhance guest experience
  • Ensure smooth daily operations of the Gift Shop, including excellent guest service, proper billing/cashiering, and adherence to operational procedures
  • Manage merchandise display, stock levels, inventory control, and ensure products are well-organized, attractively presented, and meet quality standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the boutique, storeroom, and work areas, coordinating with Housekeeping and Engineering when needed
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, support reporting and administrative tasks, and participate in trainings, meetings, and sustainability initiatives

Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in retail, spa, or hospitality industry.
  • Sales-driven with the ability to achieve targets and perform upselling.
  • Basic knowledge of retail products, particularly in sun care (sunscreen and after-sun aloe vera gel, etc), resort wear/clothing, and locally sourced products, with the ability to confidently explain features and benefits to guests.
  • Good communication skills in English, and drive positive attitude
  • Well-groomed, professional appearance with a positive and service-oriented attitude
