Job Title: Retail Associate
Pay Rate: $11/hour
Employment Type: Full-Time, Hourly

Join our fast-paced thrift store retail team and help make a positive impact in the community. Retail play a critical role in keeping the store running efficiently by supporting the sales floor, processing donations, operating the register, and preparing merchandise for sale. This position requires a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and the ability to keep up with daily production and customer service demands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide friendly, respectful, and efficient customer service to shoppers and donors
• Operate the cash register with accuracy and speed; handle cash, credit, and transactions appropriately
• Maintain awareness of customer flow and respond quickly during busy periods
• Receive, unload, and sort donated items with care and efficiency
• Inspect, tag, price, and hang clothing according to production and floor standards
• Prepare merchandise for the sales floor by meeting daily production and stocking goals
• Stock and rotate merchandise on racks, shelves, and displays throughout the day
• Recover and straighten sales floor continuously to maintain a clean, shoppable environment
• Assist with fitting rooms and answer customer questions as needed
• Load and unload carts, trucks, and merchandise bins
• Follow safety, loss prevention, and operational procedures at all times

Qualifications
• Strong customer service and cashier skills or willingness to learn
• Ability to work with speed, focus, and a sense of urgency in a high-volume thrift retail setting
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks such as hanging, sorting, tagging, and stocking items
• Ability to multitask and shift priorities quickly throughout the shift
• Dependable with good attendance and time management skills
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds regularly
• Retail, cashier, warehouse, or production experience is helpful but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
• Thrift store retail and production environment with moderate noise
• Requires extended periods of standing and movement
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive hand motions
• Regular attendance and punctuality are essential
