Job Description

We are accepting applications for the following position:

RETAIL ASSOCIATE

The Retail Associate will assist the Retail Supervisor in maintaining a positive work environment by contributing to a culture of teamwork and motivation among associates.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers, answering inquiries, and offering product recommendations.
  • Operate cash register and process transactions accurately, efficiently, and courteously.
  • Execute assigned tasks efficiently to contribute to achieving operational excellence and meeting sales targets.
  • Assist in planning and implementing in-store promotions and events to drive sales and enhance customer experience.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization to ensure visual appeal and adherence to retail merchandising standards.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including restocking shelves, monitoring stock levels, stock rotations, and conducting regular inventory counts. Ensure perishables are stored properly.
  • Follow operational procedures, including store opening/closing procedures, cash handling procedures, and adherence to safety and security protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to address customer complaints or operational issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Showcase complete knowledge of all products available. Participate in training sessions to improve product knowledge, customer service skills, and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth internal processes and a clear understanding of tasks.
  • Partake in receiving and organizing merchandise.
  • Other relevant duties may be required from time to time as assigned by the Store Manager

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a minimum of 1 year of Retail Sales experience
  • High school diploma
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to lift 50lbs; stand, walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays

Salary: CI$8.00 - CI$9.00 per hour + commission

Benefits: In accordance with Cayman Islands law
