Retail Associate – St. Rita's Medical Center

Tuesday – Saturday

Required to work at both Gift and Thrift Shop.

Daytime hours, but may vary slightly depending on need.

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
The Retail Associate provides exceptional service to customers and staff while supporting the daily operations of the retail shop. This role is responsible for assisting customers, operating the point-of-sale system, maintaining merchandise displays, and ensuring a welcoming, organized retail environment.


Essential Job Functions

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly, compassionate, and professional manner.

  • Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.

  • Handle cash, credit card, and electronic payments in accordance with organizational procedures.

  • Restock shelves and maintain visually appealing merchandise displays.

  • Monitor inventory levels.

  • Assist customers with product selection and special requests as needed.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, including privacy and safety standards.

  • Support special promotions, seasonal displays, and events.

  • Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary.

  • May assist with training and support for volunteers based on specific location needs.
