The Retail Services department operates two retail stores and a Café on and off campus with the aim to provide the students with the finest quality, best value products and services, served in a stimulating and well-maintained environment.
The role of Retail Assistant is based in The Premier, providing a friendly and efficient service to customers and day-to-day support to the store team, working under the direction of the Retail Duty Manager.

This is a Grade 1 role and is remunerated at £11,820 per annum, paid monthly around the last Friday of each month. No additional payments or allowances and no contractual entitlement to overtime.
You will receive an annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks per annum. Annual leave entitlement forms part of the total annualised hours for the post.
Holiday pay is calculated in line with current legislation and legal guidance.

The Union is situated at the heart of the campus, both literally and metaphorically. Unlike city centre bars and nightclubs, we’re a registered charity meaning that all the money you spend at The Union is reinvested in the wide range of pastoral services we provide for you.
The eight student executive members can be found every weekday between 11am-3pm at The Hive on level 4 of DUSA the Union. Working closely with the University to ensure you have the best possible experience, they are also responsible for the overall management and admin of DUSA, liaising with the University at every level, running campaigns, creating opportunities for you to become more involved with the academic community and much more.
