Job Description

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a Junior or Mid-Level Associate in the Restructuring & Special Situations Practice of our Salt Lake City office. We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package. GT is consistently among the top firms on the Am Law Global 100; the Associate will have the opportunity to work with clients, large and small, from a variety of industries across the country.

Greenberg Traurig's internationally recognized Restructuring & Special Situations Practice has a broad range of experience developing creative and effective strategies to address the highly complex issues that arise in connection with in- and out-of-court reorganizations, restructurings, workouts, liquidations, and distressed acquisitions and sales, both domestically and in cross-border proceedings. Our Salt Lake City office in particular has a practice focused on Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and out-of-court workouts and cross-border insolvency cases.

Applicants to this role should have 2-4 years of general restructuring and bankruptcy experience related to Creditor’s rights, distressed M&A, bankruptcy litigation, and cross-border insolvency matters. The ideal candidate will have experience with out-of-court restructurings, debt exchange transactions, appearing in court and drafting pleadings, and drafting transactional documents for M&A and finance transactions. Candidates should have excellent law school qualifications and be in good standing with the Utah State Bar. To apply, submit your resume, cover letter, law school transcript (unofficial transcript is acceptable), and a writing sample.
